Morning everyone Wave Thanks for all your good wishes. My day started with a cup of tea in bed - why does a surprise cup of tea always taste like nectar?? Been to Tesco, hung out some washing, just having a cup of tea then off to Asda Living. Then off to our local pub for a liquid lunch - it's got a beer garden so we can take the dog. Hope you all have a lovely day and if you have poor weather at the moment hope the sun soon comes out for you.

Hi Peggy, did you have a nice lunch? Does it mean the G+Ts are off the agenda tonight?

Hi Posh. Had a lovely lunch - lager and toasties, yum yum. The pub is quite near my daughter's school and just about all the 6th form were having a bbq in the beer garden, so consequently the dog barked his head off at them! No G&Ts tonight - stands back in amazement - we're having cocktails suggested the Tesco magazine, for a change (pre and post steak). Crazy

Something from the 'light choices' range, chicken and pasta bake I think. I used to cook meals from scratch more when my older son was at home cos he'd always tuck in to whatever I cooked but my younger son is so fussy or he simply doesn't come home for tea, so a lot was going in the bin and I've stopped cooking so much now. I do more at weekends if I'm not working.

I have the same problem with cooking. My 14 year old is sooooo fussy. She really has very limited tastes. I often cook a meal and she has just plain pasta with grated cheese on. The 11 year used to eat anything and everything but she's starting to leave a lot, although that could have a lot to do with her being a chocoholic, she's either full of chocolate and can't eat or desperate for her next fix.

How old is your oldest son? What's he studying?

When my daughter was about 5 I told her it was chops for tea. "I don't like chops" was her reply.
"You do" I told her. To which she said "Well what are chops then?"
Kids!!!

Big Grin But at least she was only 5 at the time. I get that reaction now from my 14 year old!

Smile Hi anne. Sunny day here too but rather breezy and quite cool for the time of the year. Just come back from taking doggie for his third walk of the day (my husband usually does the first one at the weekends to give me a bit of a break) and thought I'd just a peek on here. Did you have your carpets cleaned professionally? We usually hire a Rug Doctor for ours - they're absolutely brilliant but quite expenisive to hire. Seem to need the carpets cleaning more regularly now we've inherited the dog!
Hope everyone has a great Bank Holiday weekend. We're out for lunch tomorrow which will be nice - saves having to cook! Speak to you all soon. Take care. Hug Wave

Wave Hi Muggy, a neighbour retired recently and has sold his carpet cleaning business to a young man who has just been made redundant. He asked me if I would mind if he showed him the ropes. He did two rooms for half price, so he was happy and me too. Enjoy your weekend & you too Rosebud. Hug
