Well in evilbrummiegit, lucky you. I doubt we will get another forum member win for a long time, just on odds alone.
I hate the new entry form since it came back on, that being said it is a LOT faster and you get the "sorry next time" or "congratulations" almost instantly.
Although i HATE having to enter the numbers in the picture at the end, i can understand why they did it. With the old style entry form i started using a macro and i since i use Firefox i would get about 7 tabs going at once and i got at least 1 successful entry in most days, sometimes i would get 5 or 6 in.
Now, i am lucky to get 1 in, in fact i rarely try for another successful entry once i get that first one. I can no longer use tabs properly either, but i don't really need them anymore because you get the 'reply' almost instantly so no waiting around.

And yesterday my name came up and I won £10,000! So I think the free web entry is the best thing ever - and I have to say, it made watching it all the more exciting anyway so is worth the ten minutes it takes to get in the winner's pool. I know I won so I'm biased, but I don't see that channel 4 have any obligation to offer free web entry (the only other show that I'm aware of that does is Brainteaser), & the web form does not even involve being bombarded with adverts. I really don't think there can be any bias toward people who phone in. Anyway, it may have been rubbish in the past but it's clearly worked for me - good luck all, keep entering is my advice.
WELL DONE and congratulations! I still dont like the code and DOB, but its much quicker this series than it ever was in the last series... it used to sometimes take minutes for the pages to load... I like many others havent won on the web, but delighted for you that you have!

Congratulations on winning!
Me? I'm giving up on web entry. Why? I used to get 2 or 3 successful entries each time. In the past few weeks I've had 1 successful entry (didn't win tho). Then I hear about the people who get 5 or 10 (yes 10!) successful entries each day (!!!) and even they still do not win.
I think it's good that Deal or No Deal allows for free web entry. It's a good opportunity for positive minded people. But these days I just get the sorry page everytime. And it's just feeling like a waste of my time.
And if anyone else does win by web entry - please post it in this message board. Also say the time of day you usually enter please.

you can enter web entry more then 30 times which you are curenttly limited 2. you just need to use anonymous proxy server with your web browser. web entry form logs your ip address and when when you enter 30 times from same ip, it tells you that you reached maximum limit, but you can bypass this with the freebie programs available on the internet. one of the tools i found usefull is anonymizer, seach for it in google. the most sucesfull entries i've had was 18

Dear People, Does anyone know if the winners are from cell phones only or do they have online free enteries winning as well? ???

it limits you to 30 entries?
Last time I put in 40 entries (all unsuccessful of course) and I never got a message saying 'you have exceeded 30 entries' or anything like that. I don't have an anonymizer thing. Just standard browser.
Are most people told when they exceed 30 entries? If no message comes up, does this mean none of your entries are getting through?
I suppose Channel 4 just want people to ring up.
But if I have an average web success rate of about 0/30, does this mean I'll have a 0/30 chance if I ring up. So I therefore have no chance of winning. Then what's the point then?

Even a waste of time eh houseparty? LOL Talking of time - what time does it open? No, not the pub - the online form. We are all in the gutter - just some of us are looking at the stars

I have exceeded 30 entries several times, up to 54 times on one occasion. I use a macro so i am not repeatedly typing all the details or i would be there all day, just the code which is a task in itself, trying to guess some of the characters is a nightmare.
Does anyone else find they have missed the name at the end of the show? It seems to last for all of 5 seconds then it's gone, and if you look away you can miss it very easily as i have found several times. I wonder if there is a list of winners somewhere.

Got my cheque on Tuesday - bit longer than expected, was starting to get worried! When I was entering it told me routinely I'd exceeded the limit after around 30 goes. If I maxed out the entries I'd generally be in the "winner's pool" 1, 2 or 3 times. I don't think I'd want to spend the time entering more times than that, anyway, macro or no macro! And even if one were to get into the pool very frequently, one still can't EXPECT to win. Surely nobody really thinks they will win? It is more a notion that is entertained. And it makes it more fun watching the show if you think your name might come up. I have to say it seemed to be on for an age when my name was on! Anyway, good luck all

What the flip is going on? It's Sunday 10th October, and end of part one of DOND, I've been trying to make a web entry since a quarter pat four, and I'm STILL being told Sorry, the contest is finished, try again later! HOW MUCH later, for Dog's sake? It finishes in half hour! Aren't we allowed to play on Sundays? Come on C4, play the game, and let US play the game, like we're being told to do even as I type! Uuuuuuuuurrrrrrgggggghhhh!!!!!!!!

Am having the same problem, but it seems to fit the pattern of every time something on the web entry system is changed, it louses things up for a day or two. One day they will get the system sorted so that things work the way they should straight away (ha, ha - like that would really happen!).

At a rough guess some twit at Channel 4 opened the lines yesterday afternoon and closed them between 7 and 8 p.m. forgetting that the day of transmission had been changed. Do the words "organise", "celebration" and "brewery" spring to mind anybody?

Well, I tried throughout the entire programme to enter the competition, but nothing changed. It makes me feel rather good actually, in a rather odd way. We all make mistakes, I'm particularly good at it, but when most of us cock-up, only a couple of people are likely to be adversely affected. When the bods at C4 get it wrong, it's a spectacularly huge affair which (albeit temporary) affects the optimistic hopes, dreams, and vague chances of MILLIONS of less well-off fans/aficianados. So now, when I burn the toast, record the wrong channel, set fire to my bathwater, etc, I'm just a teeny bit smug to know it's not just me. And in comparison, we're all pretty harmless. Thank heavens for bigger clods than you and me. On a different tack, however, I WOULD still like to win, so maybe soon someone responsible will get it right, and start to earn their salary! Good luck y'all!

I think there was a glitch on the free web entry today. The site went down for a while & then when it was up again let me make countless entries!!!

Yes. it does count as it won't let you enter before 3pm. (I know the grammar of that sentence souds a bit daft, but I hope you get my drift).

the odds of winning must be 100000/1 i give up really. i have never had a day when i didn't get at least one successful entry, and if every person around the country got one in, then odds on someone winning could even be million to one. its really not worth trying anymore. they should tell us the truth

I won £2,000 a couple of weeks ago on the free web entry & another poster won £10,000. You could try using Roboform which takes the hassle of filling in the same info over & over.
