Dave scared me a little when he was behind his box but what a lovely man he is. I must admit, the way his game was going I really thought that he would win big. I wish him best wishes and hope his daughter gets in touch. He may not be rich in money but he's rich in laughter and love.
Poor guy, yet another game where a 'big' character has crashed. Mind you I was a bit concerned at the beginning when every time he cheered he went a puce colour, I thought he was going to burst a blood vessel. Wishing you all the best Dave.
could not have put it better, poor Dave as we know how in advance the games are shown, i'm sure if his daughter had got in touch from the show being on air, some news paper or other would have blown the story befor to day would'nt they? oh bless Dave lovly man
I thought Dave played well, and he turned out to be such a lovely man. I was also pleased he wasn't full of weeping, wailing and bitterness at the end after such a disastrous ending. He really went up in my admiration for that.
Hi I agree with you all ,I wish him luck with finding his daughter, she is obviously pulling at his heart strings .Your a lovely man wish you all the best xxx
Dave was one of the most liked and admired people in my time down there. Very humble man, and he admittd later that he should have given it a bit more thought but got caught up in the moment, he remained convinced that the board was there for playing and I don't think you can knock him for that as it was very strong and he just got unlucky
I hope Dave and his daughter get back together again but the fact that during his game no-one else could get a word in edgeways maybe gives a clue as to why she and her mother left in the first place.
WE ARE ALL WISE AFTER THE EVENT BUT SHOW ME SOMEONE WHO IS WISE BEFORE THE EVENT !!!
Hi Noel's Thumb, Dave did seem like a jolly and sincere man, it was very sad that he didn't go away with more. It comes down to that old argument of, are they being greedy or brave? If his game had gone the other way, there would be lots of comments on how fantastic he was and how brave! At the end of the day, DOND is a game, and there to be played - good for him for giving it a go, i think i would have done the same in his shoes.
I thought the crocodile tears were a bit false If I had a missing daughter and was that desperate to see her 22 years of searching should have got some sort of result

I have only recently started watching DOND.... I always liked Dave. His comments made no sense sometimes, but he was so warm and enthusiastic. Lovely bloke. wish he could have won big money.
