Is it me or does the banker make different offers if he appears to like the person, on Big Ron game he offered much more than( sorry cannot remember her name) by about 6,000 and she had a better board than Big Ron. He also says high amounts which I am sure he would not have offered if the peron was till playing after they have dealt, thought like the player he had to play on truthfully
I think you are right. Not wishing to be controversial on here but i do think the banker descriminates heavily from one player to the next. I think it would enhance the game greatly if there was a known formula that the banker had to stick to each time he made an offer, so that it was clear to one and all that he was playing with honesty. Afterall the gnomeless one always insists players play on with "honesty" after dealing
I agree the banker discriminates - after all it must be hard to always put aside his personal opinions. But I don't agree that he always offers truthfully after the player has dealt. There have been many discussions on these boards pointing out huge discrepancies in the banker's offers when players have dealt and no dealt with similar amounts on left.
I've always said he doesnt play on with honesty! which makes me a bit irritated because if the player plays on with honesty, so should he. He loves making people think they have "squandered" life changing sums of money! what makes it worse is the way Noel reacts to all of this like eg if 15k goes (when u deal) he says "NO! not good enough" but in active play he would say "No! That makes it 'uncomfortable'" either way you lose.
I think a lot of the banker's offers depend very heavily on how he "reads" the player. If they need money then relatively small amounts might tempt them to deal. But if he perceives them as "gamblers", who will go all the way to the end if the board is tempting, then he HAS to offer them more to have any chance of getting rid of them.
