Yes, she was not easy to warm to. And how agonizing were those waits after The Question. She knew how to crank up the tension!

I think Noel was right when he said at the end that she seemed to drift off half way through the game. Don't know what parties they are having at that hotel but I think contestants would be wise to forego them if they think their day in the chair is imminent.

I think that was more to do with her realising her belief system that she put so much faith in was letting her down.

What really suprises me is when people rely on a dead relative to help them.
We all have dead relatives.
If the dead could influence things we'd all be winning the lottery.

There was a very obvious lack of reference to cosmic ordering by Noel at the end wasn't there? I bet if Jo had gone away with more money he'd be singing it's praises.

Excactly Chobo - But they wont listen !!
Amused that even Noel had to admit that " I beat the banker " - with a straight face - was pathetic and he was the inventor of the nonsense

Still, she kept the tears at bay, which can't have been easy. You have the double whammy of losing the cash and feeling foolish in front of millions.

Did you get hold of Fermat Gamesman?

You are too sensible -
The birthday card gimmick was tried before with Easter eggs and others - even if you pick the lucky card its only useful with a very strong board - never previously had the slightest effect on a game (The only 'game' known without fixed rules )
Reminds me of a poker variation - " everything wild Sick

I didn't mean that as a correction of your comment, N E Juan, it was merely my take on what was happening.

Have to adnire those guys who wont walk away from a 350 year old puzzle - some still believe Fermat had a simpler proof than one 200 pages long

this is my first message on this site. I must say i didn!t warm to Jo when she was behind the boxes. She always seemed to be giving rubbish advice. I felt right from the start of her game she would make a hash of it. Also she drove me mad messing with her hair.

I could not take to the girl from the beginning, I mean the cosmic stuff, I think she is from a different planet, to ask Noel do you think I should deal or not, its like asking Chris Tarrant is that the right answer before saying final answer, cuckoo!!!!

I would've definitely dealt at £17k or even £14k. What was the point of carrying on with only the £250k and after that peanuts? Surely £14k is worth the risk, or at least good compensation that somebody might call you a chicken for dealing one round too soon?

I think she was really good looking girl and perhaps she is just used to getting what she wants and did not really take into account she could fall flat? She seemed to have that "I deserve it" air around her.
I nearly fell of the sofa when she said no deal at the end there, I would never have risked losing that kind of money for a one box game.

I didn't warm to her at all, all that talk and overconfidence didn't get here anywhere, and she was not a good advert for cosmic ordering or anything spiritual.

She lost the plot bigtime. Does anyone else think these birthday cards are too much of a distraction ? Players have got enough to think about as it is !

WE ARE ALL WISE AFTER THE EVENT BUT SHOW ME SOMEONE WHO IS WISE BEFORE THE EVENT !!!

A gorgeous girl but she really seemed to lose touch with what was happening during the second half of her game. Spiritually she seemed to lose her nerve and only occasionally touched down on Planet DOND. Yes her hair flicking was a bit irritating but I did feel sorry for her to a degree. As someone has already said she was strong enough not to let the tears fall as the game collapsed around her.

The cards gimmick is pretty pointless, just play the game as it was devised originally. If these asides are that important why doesn't my DVD version offer me the cards this week!???

Finally, my good wishes to you Jo for the future.
