We played DOND at a party last week, with envelopes instead of boxes and sums of money greatly reduced. viz 1p,2p,5p,10p,20p,50p,£1, £2,£5,£10,£20 and a £50 as the top. With six blues and six reds it was quite good fun and gives you an insight into the game of chance you experience when you are in the hot seat. I finished up with 5p in my envelope!

Excellent idea for a party!
The whole concept of DOND is so simple - why didn't someone think of it years ago?

We've been playing our game since before Christmas but with empty DVD cases instead. The second time we played, my 11 yr old son was the banker and gave me pretty fair offers throughout but I decided to go on to the end. Genuinely, I was left with the 100K & 250K and he offered me 137K so I declined again. Then a swap was offered so I accepted and got the 250K. It's a really easy game to make for yourself and using DVD cases gives you a slight 'open the box' feel and we've even made some red inserts for the cases too.

I've played it a few times. It's well done but the offers are a bit inflated in the latter stages of the game.
