Polecat..I didn't say whether I believed in it myself or not.. I actually said that the 'idea' of it was important for how the contestants and audience interact on screen to make a more interesting show.
Cheers.

Positive energy Confused ... don't get me started

I'm with Zinc here ... good luck and a good knowledge of odds is all that you need (read my comments during today's game on odds if you really want) Cool

You start with an expected pot of £25,700. Anything won around that is a damn good game. Anyone greedy enough to think you should play on cos you have a 'positive feeling about a box' is a dream contestant for the banker. Mad

If any big numbers (esp. the 250,000) go early, then forget huge sums, but look for the offer from the banker. Sometimes the banker offers a decent deal (70-90% of the pot), and I said she should have taken the 7,500 at the time - the odds of winning more were stacked against her big time. BBauble

Emotion (esp. when watching others 49 times) is again the banker's delight. RBauble

Yea, the cat died!! LOL. I know you're ribbing me but I like your question, it's nearly as good as the banker's poem being about her getting 1p. Despite stating elsewhere that I wanted her to win a lot, I don't pity her because she wasn't disappointed. It just would have been nice if she had won £50,000.

BTW I think the "we don't understand" answers are far too self-effacing, so please read the post I am about to make on my own Heisenberg thread.

If Lucy's game showed us anything it was that she was a lot more steely than people first thought she was.

I remember reading things on here saying 'Oh, Lucy will walk at the first decent offer she gets' - but she didn't. I thought for sure she would go at £7,500, but after her chat to the banker basically saying 'you're going to have to offer me big to get me out' I knew we were in till the end. So good on her for giving us a proper game.

For me, it wasn't the right ending, as I wanted her to win big. She didn't seem to fussed though and I think she got the irony of it all.

I've said I'll never get attached to players again after a favourite of mine has left (i.e. original Sam, Len, Becky, Mumtaz etc...) but new personalities come along.

So from tomorrow, DOND life goes on without Luce. The first day might be a bit odd, but we'll get over it. I wish Lucy well in the rest of her life Big Grin

whatever you win is more than you arrived with, so a £5 was better than a kick up the backside, she should have dealt at 7k, greed is a terrible thing

Two errors RAF123. No we will not ALL miss her, and secondly she nor anybody else DESERVES anything! She was offered a reasonable amount and fair do's she went on and made a show out of it, but to suggest that she is owed anything by anyone for taking part in a TV show shows a severe abnormality of mind!

positive energy my foot the only fail safe way to win a fortune would be to have xray vision and see what was inside each of the boxes. You would have to possess a brilliant memory to remember where all the amounts are if the show was fixed unless of course there is a secret autocue lol
