Often when players go away with a blue in their box they say "I played the game " but doesn't everyone do that anyway when they sit in the crazy chair ? It's as if those who deal earlier are copping out. As I've said before, there's no point playing the game until there's nothing left. Each game is like climbing a mountain but you only see the highest point when it's behind you. Dealing at the right time is always easier in hindsight but I do agree with the forum member who said if you get offered £20000 then take it, especially if you need the money which most people do or they wouldn't be on the show in the first place. The only people who can afford to lose must have loads of dosh in the first place and they wouldn't audition for the show !!
WE ARE ALL WISE AFTER THE EVENT BUT SHOW ME SOMEONE WHO IS WISE BEFORE THE EVENT !!!
Hi Dorsetlad, I think that phrase is silly and meaningless and agree with can't remember if it was gamesman or yourself that said it is used to save face and cover up the disappointment when the game has all gone wrong. It's like a desperate attempt to be postive when really they feel gutted (or foolish).
It is to make them feel better however, its only a term used for people who go till the end and try to get the most money in the game. Although, only the low money winners seem to say this.
