I only watch the last 20 minutes of any game now
but today ( twins day ) I found that heavy going.
First the crude tactic of keeping them from dealing by rdiculously low offers - £4,000 when
£100,000 still available at 5 box !! He knew they would quit with a normal £ 6-10 k offer
Does anyone still believe Noel's mantra about the banker is "desparate to get you out of that chair"
Why does he insult the "inteligence" of his audience.
To dress people up in stupid costiume is degrading and he looked absolutely ridiculous.

The banker has been offering ridiculously low to most people lately, although I agree the twins' offer with 100k left was stupid. I wonder if he'd already decided that if they won under a certain amount he would double it. If so, why didn't he just offer a decent amount in the first place?

How much did the twins go home with and how did they play the game overall?

Were they dressed up? I didn't notice.

They played til the end and had 3k in their box, then the banker rang back and doubled it.

On what basis were tonight's contestants given double the amount they finished up with in the box?
It makes nonsense of the whole game, and nonsense of what boxes we're shown as remaining.
Apart from which, some of the show's antics are now quite desperate.

Maybe it was just a nice idea? Having identical twins on was probably a one-off so I think it was nice to give them £3,000 each.

maybe the dressing up was what you might call 'a bit of fun' people are allowed fun.

i dont mean to be rude but im getting a bit sick of people complaining about the show. if you dont like it, or are getting bored of it, then take a break from it for a while.

they stole my sig, my lovely sig!!!!

I enjoyed their game more than I expected to, and was delighted when their money was doubled.

I must admit I was worried about the twins when they first arrived but I found their game entertaining. It was a good day to play. If they had the blue in their box the banker would have given them £3000 anyway. He did something similar on the 600th show I remember and he was right, the members of the 1p club did pay for it.

How did the members of the 1p club pay for it? They didn't actually have to pay that bill he sent them at the end, did they?

I think Dorset lad means that by only winning 1p each they left the banker with spare cash!! (and yes before everyone shouts I know it isnt actually his money!)

I agree with crazy chick 84 tho, if people are fed up with dond, stop watching!!

I enjoyed the twinnies game, thought it was a bit of fun. I would be proud to have them as my children, I thought what lovely natural girls they werem and they didn't come over as being greedy like a lot of the contestants these days.
I watch the show mostly on fast forward these days, I can get it down to about 10-15 mins so the shows are less boring, and you get to the nitty gritty quickly without all the hesitations and long pauses. Great.
Nice girls those twins.

I think Zoe (or was it Zara) said one of the wisest things I've heard on DOND: I'm not going to be controlled by money.

What lovely girls and a credit to their parents. Wish they could have won more, but they were obviously overjoyed with what they did win; it was very refreshing. And a nice touch from the banker to effectively double their money.

So that will explain why they turned down some decent offers and went home with 3 grand then?

Very strange.

Yes it does explain why they went home with what they did. They'd said they wanted to play til the end so they did, rather than be manipulated by the banker changing the offer.
