I thought the newbie today, Jade, looks like Myleene Klass.

Yes, she looks more like Myleene Klass than Myleene Klass does. Does anyone think Maggie looks like Debbie Harry (as she is now)?

Hmmm, can see what you mean, now you mention it.

Several people have told me I look like Liz Dawn (Vera Duckworth in corrie) shame we can't post photos on here, those of you who saw me in the audience can make your own mind up.

I think the new girl who started yesterday looks a bit like a thinned down Martine McCucheon (sorry if that's spelt wrong!).

What I want to know is what Kaled thinks of Jade. He's not usually unforthcoming with his opinion in situations such as these!

I think she sounds like Denise Robertson, the daytime TV agony aunt. Although we need a real Geordie's point of view on this I think. Lindy?!

Hi chobo, have you got a Mancunian accent?
| |

Hi Posh. The really strong accents come from north Manchester [Bolton, Wigan etc]. I am from South Manchester were it's not so noticable. And the south is the nice bit of Manchester.

There's a nice bit of Manchester?
| |

Oh, that cuts deep! There is a very exclusive area where the really wealthy live, footballers, millionaires and the like. I live on the fringes of that area. I think they are trying to expel me though!
Is where you live nice? I imagine it to be...well posh!

Where I live has its posh parts and its chav parts, like all towns, probably. I'm somewhere in the middle. I have the sea south of me and the Downs north, so its a nice spot.

Nice for Daisy too. I'd love a dog but wouldn't know what to do with it when on holiday . And I'd worry about it when at work too. Perhaps when I retire...
| |

Actually, I'm not a great dog lover. But that's another story and another bone of contention between me and my son (no pun intended!).

Did he hound you to get one?!

Oh don't start all that again. And yes he did.

Poor lad, if he ever reads what you say about him on here...
My daughter's pushing it a bit at the moment. I want her to get a summer job, she wants to spend all day in her PJ's watching TV and playing on the computer. She's starting to get a bit chunky, and I'm worried that 3 months of nothing will not be good for her figure.
| |

Doesn't she want to have a bit of cash for things? That usually motivates them a bit. Or has she got a Sugar Daddy?
| |

You have hit the nail on the head. I treat her too well [and am now regreting it] but I can't just cut off her allowance. They also get £30 per week for going to college - so she's too much money for her own good.
Time to get tough perhaps.

It really isn't easy knowing what's for the best with teenagers. Chobo, I've got to go now and something to eat before I go to work. You have a nice evening.

I don't think so chobo,I'll have to have another listen.

Denise Robertson is from Seaham in County Durham. It's nearer Sunderland than Newcastle so she hasn't got a proper Geordie accent.

Have you got an accent likes hers then Peggy? I love listening to different accents.
