I didn't do anything on valentines night - but my boyfriend made up for it last night and we went out for a lovely meal and he bought me a gorgeous necklace. I was very pleasantly surprised. He's so lovely
I was in HOng Kong on valentines day and it was lovely to see the couples, both male and female carrying huge bouquets of flowers for their loved ones. Lots and Lots of couples just walking about arm in arm carrying their flowers

That sounds lovely aloo I have always wanted to go to Hong Kong ,I just treat valentines day as any other day ,I do get a bit sad though I just wish my husband was here to share it with me
I too had always wanted to go to Hong Kong though didnt especially go for Valentines Day - just happened to coincide with the date of the holiday - it was a fab place to visit and I also travelled to CHina and Vietnam whilst I was there

Looks like the trip to Hong Kong beat ya in distance, expenditure etc but surely it isnt about beating others or one-up-man-ship??? Some people celebrate Valentines Day quietly and can be just as much in love as those who go for big showy gestures and gifts/outings. Some people do not celebrate it at all but doesnt mean they are loved any less. To a certain extent I think it has become a money making racket and been commercialised by retailers in an effort to get us to part with our hard earned cash, just like xmas, easter, halloweeen and all these other events which in by gone years were not about how much money you threw at them . Does anybody else agree??

I went out for a meal with 3 girl pals, us singles lol, then went to a bar afterwards, not a couple in sight, tons of single people but then I felt abit rubbish and was home by 12am!
