In some respects mobile technology is breaking down the social aspects of the family but in some respects, as we are in contact wherever and whenever then socially we are in more contact than ever before. We are speaking to each other in more ways than ever before, mobile phone, text, e-mail and the good old letter does still exist, though Royal Mail doesn't perform like it used to. (my mothers' day card didn't arrive until 18 days after the even even though it had a first class stamp on it!  )If by social you mean actually, physically getting together then perhaps yes......

in my day youngsters never got into debt due to those mobile money -eating machines!

I must say that i do agree with what must of you have to say in reply to this post.
From persbal experience mobile tech's are rather getting me jelous!!!!!! lol
