without the 'filmizing' effect?

Do you prefer your TV programs broadcast using video tape with or without the filmizing effect added post filming?

I have recently watched programs that I haven't seen in a while. The programs I am talking about are : 'Grange Hill', 'Hollyoaks', 'My Family', 'Home and Away', 'Holby City' and 'Casualty'. I was absolutely shocked. All the above had been 'filmized'. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

Video tape without 'filmizing' is far superiour because:

Whatever next? 'Eastenders', 'Neighbours' and other shows ruined by the blimming 'filmizing'?

TV producers, please listen. We, the viewers do not like the 'filmizing' of our favourite TV shows. It puts us off from watching. I have totally gone off 'Casualty', 'Holby City', 'Home and Away' and 'Hollyoaks because the dreadful 'filmizing' has been applied.'

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE PUT A STOP TO IT. SHOW ALL TV PROGRAMS USING THE HIGH PRODUCTION QUALITIES OF VIDEO WITHOUT 'FILMIZING' .

No, I'm talking about programs like Casualty looking visually like a film and how terrible it looks.

I've noticed the same over the past couple of years. I remember when it happened with Home and Away. That's one of the first that sticks out in my mind.

I'm gradually getting used to the 'filmizing', but feel some character and grit has been lost in the look of many BBC programmes especially.

I bet Eastenders will be next. But I'm not a big fan of it anyway and it's always had a low-budget feel to it, so maybe it is the way to go.
