could you help me with my 3rd yr degree project. am trying to get as many responses as possible....
My project is based on encounters,

*Tell me how you first met somebody?

*What attracted you to them?

-doesn't have to be romantic, could be on a friandly basis

I first met my [now] stepdad on a trip to Kent. Nothing attracted me to him, he looked mean and stand-offish. I made a joke and he ignored me. Turns out I was talking into his deaf ear and he didn't hear a word. *shrugs*

He's actually very lovely, btw.

my best mate and I met about 12/13 years ago, we had just started high school. I was a real geek, big time geek, geekier than I am now, and that's really saying something.

I was hangin with my nerdy crew in the library, playing role-playing games , D&D I think. He was hangin with his nerdy crew in the library playing role playing games; D&D I think.

Then there was a moment. Our eyes met across the room, and there was a connection, like we were long lost geek brother/lovers. We started playing rpgs together that day, and have remained steadfast friends ever since.

Was that good?

I thought it was pretty romantic.

That is truly a story of love.

I met my partner virtually (in here as it happens!) and was attracted to his sense of humour (and is morals I guess, if that doesn't sound odd).

Then I saw a pic of him and was delighted to find he was a stunner!!

We got chatting, simply as friends and eventually realised we liked each other more than we first thought and decided to meet.

My heart was beating so hard when we met as I was extremely nervous that he actually heard it from a few away on a train platform.

That was too much, yes.

I met tha sopheh on here and then we went to Brighton and visited a sex shop run by goths and snogged in a smelly toilet. That was quite romantic too.

I met my best friend when we first started secondary school. We were sat next to each other on the first day and have remained best friends, literally, ever since. I don't even know what makes us so close because we don't have that much in common other than exactly the same sarcastic sense of humour.
