hey everyone, has anyone in here got thyroid problems, im waiting for blood tests been waitin so long 2 find out whats up with me, dr thinks its overactive thyroid im scared got all the usual symotoms, hungry all the time, tired, no energy, shaking, muscle weakness, hot and then cold all the time, swollen eyes, being sick, headaches, nervous and anxious all the time not good at all really so was just wondering what other peoples symptoms/experiences were. thanks xxclarexx
my mum has an over active one, she has pills to control it. she was tired all the time and couldn't lose weight when on a diet. she is fine though, she doesn't have the symptoms anymore as the pills steady it. my uncle has an under active one and loses weight all the time. he gets tired and ill and finds it hard to put on weight (he is dangerously low right now) but again, he was okay and steadyed while on pills, but a death in the family hit him hard and affected his thyroid. once diagnosed you will start to feel better hopefully. (i'm not sure if i got them mixed up btw)

Hello, Just to let you know I was recently diagnosed with an underactive thyroid. I found out I had it by accident after getting tests done for something else. I know its not ideal but I have to take a tablet a day to regulate it which isn't too bad. Thinking back I should have guessed there was something wrong coz I was having slight pulpertations and hair loss and sore troat. I also found myself very sleepy after I had eaten but the tablets soon fixed that.
Don't panic as I said its not great or Ideal but it can be regulated and doesn't need to be a major problem. Hope all works out for you.
