These obnoxious co-workers tend to curry up favour with Management, in my experience. Rather nauseating seeing them sweet-talk managers. I've had the misfortune of working with people like these.
I am tired, I am weary. I could sleep for a thousand years.
On asking a person a few steps down in the heirarchy what he was doing his reply was shouted in my face; Do not tell me what to do! Certainly not an an answer to my query. There are many who dislike women! Not a way to go to get respect or a good working environment.
Thankfully after a lot of `coventry` treatment the nutter went of his own volition!
Actually, akk, your treatment of this co-worker is officially known as "bullying". You (and the others) made his life so unbearable that he left.
He didn`t leave of his own volition, he was driven out by your behaviour.

The management probably loved this person because they just got on with their work, and not conspired with his workmates to drive a co-worker out of his job.

The ones that don`t/can`t mingle, are the ones I particularly look out for, because I know it`s daunting when faced by "the clique". It doesn`t bother me in the slightest being on the bad side of "the clique".

I did work with a woman years ago who was not nice and made it pretty obvious she did not want me working with her ,she was my manager I took an awful lot from her and one day put my notice in ,I told them I was unhappy they asked me not to be hasty and reconsider ,a couple of weeks later they asked me if I wanted her job as manager as they had demoted her ,one part of me wanted to say yes just to see the look on her face ,but I felt it was the wrong thing to do so I did not take the job,we eventually became good friends and still are ,I just felt a little bit of power went to her head and she really could not handle it
well said Angelus and you might like to know that our 'friend' Akkcrawley seems to have a problem with fat people judging by his/her comments in other threads - what it must be like to so perfect !!!!

it can be cliquey on here Angelus so watch out if you go against the pack you could end up being hunted just like Akk's 'not a full shilling' co-worker. bullying comes in many different guises but I think you have sniffed this one out very acurately.

akk has decided views on what he calls the "bottom 20%" of the population, it`s not just fat people, it`s long term sick, old and the permenantly disabled.

A clique is only powerful if you allow it to be so.
The clique at work can`t hurt me as I am their senior, and should they try to make my life difficult, then I can quite simply rearrange their work rota so that they are all seperated and working with people, or on machines, they don`t like.
As to any clique that`s on here, I`m not really bothered. My replies are based on posts, not generally on who writes them.
