Glad you had a nice Birthday CL. I went to play Badminton yesterday and felt like Frasier in 'The Unnatural'.

Didn't JM play Lady Bracknell in that charity Importance of being Earnest a while back? Wish I'd seen that version for A Level instead of the one with a ceepy Algernon... It did have Elizabeth from Keeping up Appearances though. Alas I'm rambling.

You know you're an internet message-board addict when...

... you're idly looking through your "favourites" and think "Hmm, I hope ENH is doing ok this week..." as opposed to, you know, a "real" name, meaning that you count someone as a friend of sorts whom you know only by three initials meaning "Enter Name Here".

Weird...

Lol CL. Hope everyone is looking forward to the bank holiday.

I've been watching lots of season 11 lately. After careful consideration I think I do prefer 'The Doctor is out' to 'Matchmaker', but only just. Mind you it has been ages since i've seen the latter.

One other thing - I wished there were more Roz storylines in the final season, they managed to do it for Martin.

I loved Fraiser, I can keep watching the episodes again and again and again. You can never beat the earlier seasons with anything.

Cool I don't need your attitude ! I have my own ! Cool

Welcome, Fallen Angel - clearly a celestial messenger with taste. I hope you'll enjoy this civilised little Nervosan thread - it can get a bit quiet sometimes, but the company is good...

That reminds me of a divine moment on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart mocking the religious offense caused by, and general huffpuffery over, the phrase "Happy Holidays". Jon Stewart, himself a supreme being, closed perfectly deadpan with "And remember, every time you say 'Happy Holidays', an angel gets AIDS."

Very true sentiments CL, lovely company. A little ... *long pause* ... TOO ... quiet these day. Yes.

Speaking of The Doctor Is Out (or rather, following up a mention of it by Ana a couple of weeks ago!), I was purrooozing ******* (******* and Wikipedia are really all one needs for a fine life), and thought this may be worth noting. I will post the link in a post after this in case it gets deleted. It's Joe Keenan discussing his new book. Its 26 minutes long. I've not watched it yet as I'm a bit sleepy but Joe Keenan can summon my time. Has anyone ever read his books incidentally? I have been planning to for years and keep failing miserably.

Quite why such a act requires years of planning escapes me.

Escapes can require years of planning.

Like in Shawshank Redemption.

Good film, that.

Also on the same site is a clip of the Frasier cast doing a Star Trek homage at an awards show, and outtakes, and DHP's "On The Couch" rap if you haven't already searched.

So, how has everyone been? Any scandal?

CL, you are true [young] lady, and I am honoured by your post. As for the name, I thought I was so very smart. Back in the dazed youth of the web and myself, all introspective with exhaustive attempts at being original but in a way, like, that's _original_ original, not just ... original, totally. As Niles would ponder, was I ever that young?

And why am I still in that mindset?

If you ever wish to investigate my everyday moniker, my email address is my surname which is what I get called. My first name is redundant, I am indentifiable by a single name. Much like Madonna.

Well yes the second post got deleted, and the first post was automatically censored with little stars. I made a funny about the packaging of a popular sugar-coated chocolate-centred colourful little sweeties, clever buggers who only have the answer, and related their famed packaging to that of the website link I was providing. I'm sure you all know the one.

Either way, I watched the interview, 'tis rather good. You can see a lot of Frasier and Niles' characters in him. Really, it's just an interview where he seems like a no-nonsense, smart, cloaked-bitchy besuited queen. Being interviewed by a more-nonsense, less smart (but still smart), blatantly gossipy queen. For this alone the interview is rather good entertainment.

Both are oddly likeable.

Plus Keenan's views, and indeed general manner, are oddly inspiring.

Also watched A Valentine For Niles, a scene I've not seen for umpteen, um, about two years. A mini-masterpiece in itself.

Toodle pip.

Hello FallenAngel 'Whether your journey together lasts for years or just for one day...' Sorry I've been watching too much S11. Those Maris episodes are just fantastic. My friend doesn't believe its 'Homer' at the end of one of them.

Thanks for reminding me about three Valentines ENH (no scandals to report i'm afarid), think i'll start watching season 6 again. Daphnes argument with Martin where she compares him to a pet is great.

Thanks for Bumping the thread CL, it is pretty quiet around here. Hope everyone isn't dreading the start of term too much. I didn't understand my first lecture which is always a good sign.

Been watching some of the season 2 re-runs on Channel 4 this week, I forgot how good dark Victory was.

Sorry, but I missed John Mahoney's "ER" appearance last Thursday. Maybe you'll see it before I do. A friend told me he made one ugly drag queen.

Ta for the latteSmile Just noticed my spelling mistake 'frasuer' indeed. Perhaps I should watch a few epsiodes to learn the correct spelling.

Hi Valor, new ER already, is this the last season? I'll keep a look out for that one, we should get it Jan/Feb next year.

Hello um, all! Hope everyone is well. I saw Spamalot the other week - very Good. The guy that played DHPs part did look a teeny bit like him, wonder if it was intentional? Probably not. Tim Curry was good, I think he's only in it until December or January.

Ditto 'piscean person'. A lilith thanksgiving was on this morning- the bit with Niles wondering where the turkeys gone never fails to amuse.

Ooh, hello everyone! How goes it?

I'm ok - it's foggy and cold and beautiful. Bath looks super in all weather, but it looks really Dickensian when it's like this. I went out for a couple of days' foggy exploration when it was a real pea-souper about this time last year, and came back with icicles on my hair.

Haven't watched any Frasier in ages. I did hear the best news ever at the weekend, though, as my musical idol (Neil Hannon of The Divine Comedy) is doing a song for this year's Doctor Who Christmas special. Oh, man! My two fave things, merged.

ENH, belated sympathies for the singledom thing (although as that was months ago anything could've happened since then...). I'm yet to experience feelings like that, as I'm incapable of loving.

Awwww, Bad Ambassador...

I am really sick and taking some cheer from Frasier repeats... have picked up the nastiest imaginable throat/chest virus and have unbearably sore lymph glands. It's been going on since Friday night and I'm not sure how much more I can take!!!

Other half tries to make me laugh (he's very funny) but it HURTS to laugh... aaaaggghhh...

Ah well. 7 weeks to Christmas...

Yikes. I do love Christmas so, but still - it comes around a little too quickly. I wonder if the government has secretly started a second Christmas without us realising?

Hope you're feeling better, CL.

Hello! I think you're right about that conspiracy, its too early... Waiting for Christmas would be fun if i didn't have so much work to do.

Aw, get better soon CL! I'm used to the reapeats time-slot now, they usually put in a good mood for the morning after watching them.

Speaking of Doctor Who, how many more seasons is DT staying for?
