CL, you *are* one of the cool ones!
I agree though, even with my contribution to the lack of contribution. Whenever I am home and online, the strings always drop out when there are so few posts.
Maybe it's just the two of us now. We can sit with some plonk and that boxset you've just got. I've been leaning away from Frasier recently, as have not purchased beyond the S4 boxset which was a few years back, and have over-watched those episodes. A nice refreshing break then maybe head-first into 5 through 11.
Was at the T in the Park festival last weekend, my second music festival of the year after Rock Ness (next year: Glastonbury!). What an experience. When I am an old, old, hairy man I would look back and recall being in the middle, about 10 bodies from the front in a crowd of 80,000 watching The Killers belt out Mr Brightside. Then the same the next day for Scissor Sisters.
T in the Park is quite local to my home town so I was in the lucky position of being able to get a shuttle bus home at night, got a proper sleep and shower and food. Camping is fun but after three days you lose the will to see, speak or walk.
CL, Duke Special was not playing but if I'm in Edinburgh around T in the Fringe I may have a gander. Pray tell, how did you become chums with such a be-dreadlocked chap? And there was you saying the cool people were busy elsewhere!
Take care.

... ah, that would be telling, he's a creature of mystery... no really we've known one another for many years. Talented guy, and a good friend as well. He's playing at a festival in Guildford as I type, and if you look at his website you'll see the line-up, which does I do believe include Scotland next month. So good to hear from you ENH. I'm a bit shellshocked and devoid of things to say tonight... I had news in the early hours that one of our sixth formers was killed in a horrific car accident yesterday evening. Such a waste... he'd just finished school and had it all ahead of him. ... so ENH, your suggestion of an open bottle of something and a Frasier S7 dvd night is especially welcome Keep in touch.

God, that's such an awful thing but especially at that age. Poor chap. Hope you're ok, CL.
Yes, Duke Special is playing T in the Fringe in Edinburgh. Would require a special trip however I was planning to visit a friend who lives there soon anyway, may try to synchronise.
I'm quite busy the next few weeks and off on a cheeky weekend to Sweden soon as well, so will probably not be online again for a while, so don't open the bottle just yet CL.

Well, T in the Fringe was last night and I told Mr Special to watch out for you, ENH, in case you were there How are things with everyone? Would a round of lattes help?

Hi everyone! I'm sorry I keep neglecting this place so much, but I hope you're all well. I'm a Uni graduate now (I got a 2:1) so have no excuse but to job hunt. Eep. I've only done one application so far, but it's a start. As for the rest of the summer, I was in Florida for three weeks in July (missing my graduation ceremony as a result. Ah well) and then trundled down to London to see Scissor Sisters at the immense O2 arena (nee Millennium Dome). They were absolutely superb - I hope you had a good time seeing them too, ENH, and many congratulations on your new nephew. Things haven't slowed down yet, either. On Thursday it's my 21st (though admittedly that'll just be a modest affair), then on 2nd September I'm off to New York for a week. I would be excited, if I had any actual plans for it when I'm there! Argh! Don't mind me, just having a minor panic attack, but I'm sure it's all part of the fun. Enough wibbling from me. I hope the quietness of the thread means that everyone's having loads of fun and excitement. I look forward to hearing from everyone some time, and the sooner the better! Take care chucks, Jess.
If you want me, I shall be in the spleen.

Hi gang. Long time no talk. The early reviews for Kelsey's new sitcom, Back to You, have been fairly promising. Also, Kelsey, DHP and JM will be lending their voices to a new episode of The Simpsons this fall. Naturally, JM will be playing Bob and Cecil's father. Should be fun.
Stay well.

I would love to see that Simpsons episode sometime!

<sniff> No-one talks to me anymore...
Was talking to a friend at work today about how Friday nights have never been the same since Frasier ended. Just thought I'd mention it...
How is everyone? Cheer personified, I hope?

*greets CL with a firm hug and a continental peck*
Hello my love!
My my what a lonely thread this has become, I had trouble finding it so had to use the SEARCH FUNCTION! I remember back in the days of *bump*.
CL, I sadly never made it to T in the Fringe for Mr Special, but thank you for the kind gesture. Can't even remember the last time I was in the 'burgh, which, given it's an hour away, is shameful. I've not even seen the Scottish Parliament!
Pfftriotism.
Yesterday I spent £266 on concert tickets. To see ... ELTON JOHN. Who is playing in my home town of Perth, at the football stadium, which is very, very odd. Not much of a fan of him, but thinking it would be nice to see the chap live, it's in an unusual, small location, and it covers the family's christmas and birthday presents for the next few months so a wise investment. Also booked flights to Berlin for January. £43 return, which included taxes and baggage. Now I know the globe's warming n'all that, but ... £43! I have got the travel bug again, was in Stockholm in August, what a gorgeous city full of gorgeous people, well dressed sitting by the water with a coffee and cigarette. Then I returned to Glasgow, where Kappa-clad Buckfast drinkers and causing urban unrest. Sigh.
Jess, congratulations of the degree! How was Noo Yoik?
True CL, Fridays are not the same. I miss the old Channel 4 Friday line-up. The media student in me is quite intrigued by how television has morphed the last few years from the four-camera "live in front of a studio audience" sitcom to the current crop (many terrific but I miss that old style), and how drama has shifted from a core setting/person to an ongoing single story played out over the season (Lost/24/Desperate Housewives/Heroes).
Again, not necessarily a bad thing, but I do miss being able to dip into a show without worrying about the brutal aftermath of missing a single episode.
Have *cough*down*cough*loaded*cough* a lot of Frasier that I don't currently have on DVD recently. Been delightful revisting Seasons 6, 7 and 11. 9 not so much. What a fantastic Season 7 it was as well retrospectively.
Anyways, hope to see a bit more activity here again soon, and kudos CL for keeping it alive.

Oh, sweet ENH.....! Happy (belated) Easter to everyone, as I bump the thread while watching the Season 11 Christmas episode. In another dimension, that makes sense, like Eddie talking in Frasier's voice. I still love Niles

Hey everybody...did anyone notice that on Frasier this morning they jumped right into Season 8 totally missing out the last 2 episodes from Season 7 where Niles and Daphne get together? Grrrr...I've been taping every episode of Frasier and this is a tad annoying...anyway, just wanted to rant, will have to wait till they rerun it again...sigh!!
Have a great day everybody Sue

That *is* a bit annoying, Sue - welcome to the thread, though - most of us date back to the old Ch4 forum circa 2000/2001! It's good to have someone new join in
