If a herbal/food/vitamin supplement is only available in the USA, is it legal (for want of a better word) to buy them and have them delivered to the UK? I not talking about dodgy viagra alternatives or medicine that would need to be prescribed by a doctoer
No it's not illegal but the eu laws are a lot more stringent when it comes to health and it's not that the usa ones are lax but as with everything in the states proffit is the number one concern so more drugs get passed.
I would still run them by your doctor if I were you!
"A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man"
"Embiggens, phfft that isn't even a word"
"Of course it is Lisa, it's a perfectly crumulent word"
the supplements are for a relative in a country that does not have access to good healthcare and the diet not very varied enough to get recommended vits and minerals. they have one of the neurone diseases and think that detoxing vitimins and other supplements etc will help with it.
Gillian would be proud of my poo. I drink smoothies at brekkie and eat at least three satsumas during the day, and always have loads of veg or salad with supper. *nods*
