a simple way to simplify tax credits would simply be to discontinue them - wouldnt be complicated then would it

Surely a % decrease in Income tax, and a % increase in pension and other benefits would be a lot more cheaper and straightforward. No forms to fill in that way = less bureaucracy, and less Public Sector salaries to be paid.

My parents are both on pension credit, so the Govt surely a proportional increase on the basic state pensions. Or am I missing something?

would that be Working Tax Credits? or Child Care Tax Credits??

TV Licensing,Car Tax ,etc to be
just added onto tax/petrol/whatever!

It`s a subject that needs to be taught in schools to us Brits.

All the foreigners know before they get here exactly what benefits there are and what they can claim. Some benefits I`d never even heard of before - like being able to have completely free dental treatment. Not even an NHS patient of an NHS dentist gets their treatment for free.

One guy I know has been living in this country for donkey`s years, and is legally allowed to claim back the VAT he`s charged for electrical goods. He`s not self employed, he does the same job as me in the same company.
