Hiya everybody,

I am new here.

I like a few channel4 shows, I like The Charlotte Church Show, The Simpsons and My Name is Earl.

I know according to law it is legal for someone to view her/his medical file.

Does anyone know if it's legal for someone to view his/hers school files?

According to the Freedom of Information act of 2001 you can view any peice of information that any person or establishment in this country holds against you, which people might see as a good thing
It's is to me a bit of a Damocles Sword because the government can also get any information on you, Big Brother anyone

welsh rarebit is what my aunt always called it, I've never seen it spelt before so I didn't get the whole rabbit thing then. Next time i'll google before I speak Big Grin

I mean is there something in the Freedom of Information act of 2001 that states that an "orginisation" who hold someones file must be given a reason by the person wishing to view his/her file?

It looks like the abbreviation for French Connection UK triggers the naughty stick people so my last contribution is under a withholding thing, first time since I joined the forum that I have triggered such a response Big Grin. Perhaps I am not as innocent as I believed Wink
