Hey daudi here : ) it is World Water Day on 22nd March.
Hopefully i can start a discussion on how you all feel about the water poverty situation in the third world... Here's some facts and ideas
There are currently MILLIONS of people living without access to clean water. This causes almost 4,500 child deaths every day. Did you know that 2.6 billion people worldwide don't have access to even the most basic toilet?
Let us know what you do to save water. Here are some water saving tips: -Taking a shower instead of a bath can save a bunch of water -Washing the car with a bucket instead of a hose -Use the washing machine or dishwasher only when it’s full! -A brick in your toilet cistern can save a load of water! -Turn the tap off when brushing your teeth or shaving dx
I can agree with all those except the brick in the loo one. Cisterns need a specific amount of water to flush efficiently and remove all the waste. If you only use half the water you need to flush twice. No saving there. I would rather people advise that there is no need to flush after every pee (always after a poo), it won't smell unless you go mad and leave it for days.
My water charity is LoveOne that provides play pumps that lets kids have some fun while pumping the water.
