I don't mind teachers, really. There's a bloke in my road who is an 'Assistant Headteacher'. Apparently that's NOT as good as a Deputy Head. Anyway, he's on 54 grand a year and drives an Audi Q7. He and his Mrs go on at least 4 foreign holidays a year (she's a teacher too). When I wind him up about my tax and where it's going, to be fair to him, he mentions market-forces and the necessity of keeping him in the profession. He says someone's got to teach my kids and unless I stump up, they'll all b**ger off to be accountants, IT programmers and so on. He votes Tory, btw.
