I was trapped by 40,000 idiots running around London wearing so-called comedy costumes. Couldn't even get out of my road! Only one of them was dressed as St George though, and he is dues to finish next week some time.

Yes, the Government had a special meeting at your behest and rushed a bill through Parliament. It has been decided that you can have a day off work everytime St George's Day falls on any other day than Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

But hang on, they did say if you want to book a day off when it is on a weekday, that would be okay, as long as it came out of your annual entitlement.
