They`re not the first people to die of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs.
Elvis Presley also died from an overdose of prescription drugs.
Bruce Lee died from taking ONE pill that was prescribed to another person.
As to overdosing on precription drugs.... I am aware that some drugs should not be taken when prescribed other drugs. And usually Doctors take great pains to emphisise the "do not mix" orders.
However, when a person travels a lot bewtween different countries, it could be that all the doctors dealing with Heath Ledger did not know all the different prescriptions that he had been given by other Doctors.
It could also be that his overdose was not due to a mix up between Doctors` prescriptions, but simply that Heath took a 2nd dose too soon after taking the first.
For that matter, even the easily bought paracetamol is very easy to overdose on, and even if not fatal it can cause irreparable damage to your innards. I personally won`t have paracetamol in the house for just that reason.

John Smith: So what am I then? Nothing. I`m just a story.
Doctor: You`re an echo. That`s all. A TimeLord is so much more. A sum of knowledge; a code. A shared history. A shared suffering. Only it`s gone now, all of it. Gone forever.
