Why does this show give Women the confidence and self esteem they deserve only to have them then parade naked in photo shoots for the general titliation of the male viewer and for the purpose of looking good for a MAN. Surely an experience they will regret. this show builds Womens confidence up for the WRONG reasons. Self esteem and confidence are the right of any Woman for herself not for undignified and inapropriate behaviour for men.
I think you are missing the point a bit. The photos are taken as a means to an end, to show how comfortable someone can feel in their own skin, especially after years of feeling negative. The purpose is to look good for YOURSELF. I don't think anyone would regret the experience of feeling happy and confident with themselves. The photos are not sleezy page 3 shots of pouting babes, but of happy smiling women who have new the found confidence to show their bodies in a way that should make anyone feel proud.
Well said KittyValentine. When I started filming for this show, I knew there would be a nude shot and I knew my confidence would have to improve to do it! I DID IT, it was fantastic, I felt amazing and totally in control! It was tastefully done and on a closed set, I never felt degraded or sleazy, just fantastic and I did it for me and no-one else!! Although my husband thought it was gorgeous too!
I don't think any of the ladies did this for anyone other then themselves, Do you have any idea how great it feels to walk down a catwalk with people chearing and clapping just for you! Well it is amazing - I don't care if men gawked at me I felt fabulous and looked good.
While watching the show every woman I have seen as said the same thing "my husband / partner hasn't seen me naked in ages" and the reason was because you didn't feel sexy. So there you are strutting your stuff down a catwalk and both men and women are cheering you on, just imagine the boost to your self confidence to find men do infact find you sexy.
As for the photo shoots and male viewers, What are they actually seeing? although the women maybe be nude they really aren't because of the "good taste" factor. It's not like looking at a dirty movie or dirty mags with woman getting very thing out for all to see.
I think it was all done in good taste.

I agree with twiney. I would love to have a photo taken like that and lets be honest I think everyone would love to have the confindence to do a catwalk show, I know I would. I think the show is great for boosting the ladies confidence and the confidence we have either helps us or hinders us depending on how much we have. You can really see the difference in the women their smile is so much bigger and always there... I really don't think the show is about size, but about how you feel about yourself
Both my son and daughter, 12 and 14 watch the show with me because I think it' one of the best ways for my daughter to realise that whatever shape she is, she's gorgeous and my son to realise that women come in all shapes and sizes and that he should respect that. As for the naked aspect, I've seen nothing that makes any of the women look cheap or degraded. I know that my son isn't watching this for school boy thrills either - he's more interested in which product came out top in the trials!!
I watch it with my two Daughters 21,15, like JulieD to help them learn to love what they have....Also my husband has been known to watch it with me, not because of the nude picture but because he likes to help me and we often have a good discussions about the show.I hope it has helped him realise how easy it is to feel unhappy with yourbody no matter what size you are
How odd. Were you watching the same programme? Why would you think it's about what men think? The girls look fabulous at the end because they believe it so. That's what it's all about. It's not about anyone else.(admittedly some killer heels, fab make up and Phillipe hair help too.)
I think Disapointed (sic) is watching something else. I know that I would be "Gokked" for ME, if I were so lucky to get on the next series. It's OBVIOUS that the laydeez do this for THEMSELVES - having their self-esteem and body image given a boost, which in turn puts their ego through the roof and gives them the confidence to be snapped in the buff. Girl power, I say!
