I adore Gok and I love what the show achieves. But I dislike the new format. I understand that it needs to be kept fresh for the surprise element for the participant, but I feel that the getting naked in a shop window is just sily.
At least with the naked photo shoot the participant got a beautiful photo to keep, look at and to remind them of how fab they looked and how far they had come.
What do they acheive by whipping every stitch off for all and sundry to gawp at? (And take mobile phone photos of!) What do they achieve.. besides skating very thin of the laws of public decency?!!
I also feel that the show seems more about getting as much nakedness in shot as possible now, I know it's the title of the show, I am deffo no prude either, but the cynic in me feels it's probably more appealing to a dirty old man in a mac nowadays than a woman in her 30s with a downer of her body image (Like myself!)... It all just seems a bit contrived and that it has lost its way a bit.
Thank God for Gok! He and the participants are the only reason I watch, just a shame about the format.
