Four Silver Stars

It's a bit late in, if not at the end of, the day but please clarify this for me. In the BB quiz, Derek said that John Wayne, who had a favourite horse, starred in a film called Hay Ho. I believe he was incorrrect. Sghould this man be in charge of quizzes?

I've just looked on imdb and I can't find a Hay Ho or Hey Ho or Heigh Ho or any other variation. There is a film called Westward Ho from 1935 2ith him in the lead. I think Derek was trying to be knowledgeable without being knowledgeable if you know what I mean. He's basically a fraud getting by.

I think he was giving a clue for the horse Silver, by saying Hi-Ho. I thought the cock-up was saying Silver was John Wayne's horse instead of The Lone Ranger's horse. Bloody fraud!

There is no such film as Hey Ho and Silver was not John Wayne's horse in any film. It was the Lone Ranger's horse. Derek is just a phoney, pretending to be rich and well educated. My guess is he is neither.

He was in a film called Hondo. Maybe he meant to say Hondo but Hey-ho came out.

Alternatively they could be connected:

High-ho = 7 dwarfs (Sleepy)= Sleep (Wayne)= John Wayne

Hay-ho sounds quite camp to me though, more
Larry Grayson than John Wayne.

Is it only me who's reminded of the Boon theme tune?

"hi ho silver something something lone ranger he's riding on down to rescue me."

I think it may well be just me......
