Hi, I's Shammin. I'm an A2 media student and i'm doing a critical research study on women and film. I've narrowed my topic down to women in action movies. I'd like to know what you think about how women have changed in action movies from the 1970s onwards. It would really help me with my research. Thanks!

Hi, i'm also doing a critical research for media on women and film. I'm looking at how the femme fatale character in film noir are challenged? I think that women in action films in the late 80s early 90s with the Alien films and Terminator2 are shown as very butch. Esp if you look at Alien2 (i think) where Sigourney Weaver(sp) is holding both a gun and a child. This could display the role of the strong maternal woman. Good luck with your investigation.
