I love the classic ear slicing scene in Reservoir Dogs and the scene in Goodfellas when they kick Billy Batts practicallt to death. Also the opening battle in Gangs of New York.
ANY FILM OPENING WITH A DESCRIPTIVE PASSAGE ABOUT NAMING A GROWTH ON A PENIS AFTER HIS EX WIFE MUST BE A GREAT OPENING.
ALSO, THE ENTIRE BEGINNING OF TERMINATOR 2, VERY QUICK INTRODUCTION OF ALL THE MAIN CHARACTERS AND SETTING UP THE PLOT. LEAVING THE REST OF THE MOVIE TO COPE WITH EXPLOSIONS AND STUNNING COMPUTER EFFECTS AND CHASES, ETC.
