The opening scene in Ghost Ship!!!!!

Its a horror movie so you know its not going to be pretty but not going to spoil it by telling what happens.

The Abyss.

A soon as the letters "The Abyss" come up in blue and I hear that choir music I get shivers down the spine.

There are no opening credits, either!

Raiders of the Lost Ark.

It's such an exciting opening to the movie. The image of Indiana Jones being chased by a giant boulder has to be one of the most iconic moments in cinema.

2001: A Space Oddysey

The opening of the Hining is pretty good.

Sorry, that was supposed to be The Shining.

Probably Jackie Brown for me.

Very stylish, with Bobby Womack's pulsating Across 110th Street as the soundtrack. And even as the director's name is going up on screen, we're already well into the plot. A great introduction of what's to come.

Saving Private Ryan

All the Indiana Jones films, The Mission with the body on the cross, wonderful scene .

I love the opening scene to Enduring Love, shame about the rest of the film.
