I watched that profile programme last night, does annoy me when there a people presenting and doing the 'I'm with the band' thing. When Bono sang that tribute to his dad it made him look so vulnerable - Bless him!

And gutted, been out tonight and missed Dog Soldiers on telly. Why do they show decent stuff when I go out?! I forgot to set my video. Pah. Oh well, have seen it before...just really like that film. But on the plus side...had a nice night so that's good.

Always good when a great night out replaces a normal night in, even when a good movie is on. Sean Pertwee ain't bad. Looks a lot like his father which is mad.

Ooh saw the trailer for Charlie and Choc Factory on the big screen today.....looks excellent. Saw the oompa lumpas. Mr Depp looks very though.

That's what he gets for having a goatee for so long, the audience is too used to it now.

Just watched the Kong trailer, Winter will be very exciting this year!

Think the character of Wonka is meant to be scary though isn't he. Does look really good that film.

Arch...know you must be gutted not to have got a ticket. But it was excellent wasn't it Live8. Did you see the speech made by Nelson Mandela...absolutely haunting.

Highlight for me...music wise was probably The Who, Pink Floyd, Macca at the end. Oh and The Killers, Razorlight and the Kaiser Chiefs. Missed the beginning unfortunately due to the women's final. Doh. Caught some of it though. Beautiful Day U2. Gutted I missed REM though. Hoping to catch them on the highlights.

Really hope that this makes a difference.

He was interviewed while watching F1 racing.

Loved the whole U2/sargeant pepper/Paul McCartney/haunting speeches with doves flying in the air! Loved Madonna and Annie lennox was really swayed by Razorlight and their lead singer - People already tipping him as a spokeperson or even the next Bob Geldof!

Did see the Sergeant Pepper bit.....very good...loved the guys who came on in brightly coloured uniforms...made me laugh. Missed the speeches made at the beginning though...it was an excellent women's final..very close at the end. Still slightly gutted that I missed the beginning of Live8. *shrugs* Hoping to see some of it on the highlights though.

The men's final today....Federer...blinking heck how good did he play?! Felt sorry for Roddick...but there was absolutely nothing he could do. Wimbledon over for another year....*sobs*

Missed the interview done on the F1...too busy watching the tennis.

I presently have it lodged in my brain and it won't go away. Sgt Pepper is an insane sing-along that nobody can resist and now it's stuck in my brain!

Yeah Razorlight were impressive....really thought they were good. Was quite impressed by Robbie too....ashamed to admit that.... But he worked the crowd really well.

Madonna's set I thought was a bit weak...but that could be because I missed the first song...Like A Prayer. I was quite gutted about that. Her dancers were brilliant though. And think she swore unnecessarily somewhere when she was speaking. That maybe just me though.

No but highlight for me The Who....was just sat in awe of while watching them. Them and Pink Floyd. Oh the whole thing was just one big highlight. Privileged to watch it and sort of be a part of it I think. Nelson Mandela's speech had me sat there in awe...and completely silent.

Yes well apologies for the waffle above...will attempt to bring it back to topic...was Ewan enjoying the F1 Arch?

He seemed to, was wearing his biker gear - I really don't know what the big deal is about F1, you see all celebs there and the glitzy interviews are almost as regular as the team members'

I'm listening to the radio online and Buba o' Rieley was on...Why didn't that do it at Live 8, that would have been something else!

I'm watching the replay of the Live8 London show online...so I can try to see REM...won't be as good as watching it on the telly or even being there. But ho hum at least I'll hopefully get to see them.

Found out y'day....that my mate who went to see U2 also won tickets to go and watch Live8...not spoken to them since they've been..but obviously it would've been brilliant to be there. *seethes in jealousy*

Arch just watched REM on the rebroadcast thing. How good were they!

Spoken online to my mate who went .... they sent me a pic of The Who on stage. *seethes even more in jealousy* and AND they're going to see REM next weekend in Hyde Park. It's not fair I tell you. Oh well....maybe one day....*sigh* My bro went to see Rem the other week in Manc....he doesn't even like them that much.....*more sighs* Sorry will stop being very jealous now.

Thought Stereophonics were quite good as well. Just watched most of the beginning bit. Dido was much better at Hyde Park than she was at the other one (can't remember what that was called now )
