Pillow Book on Tuesday night..with Ewan in. 12:05am Channel 4. Hmm from the blurb I'm not sure I'll like it, but I may well give it a go, for Ewan.

I was going to mention that, looks very....revealing The guide photo alone made me intrigued.

Sam Mendes is a really good director, he already seems to have a signature of using the same moody music for his films...The ending is quite unfair but the whole Irish Mafia thing made it refreshing, loved the accent in Newman's voice. When the guy does something, he does it really well

I do like all the imagery in Sam Mendes films too...the music is haunting. Just looked him up on Imdb... he's got another movie coming out Jarhead...not sure if it's been released here or not yet. It probably has..and I've just missed the blurb about it.

Nope, it's the same old 'everybody's talkin' about...'It's supposed to be like full metal jacket. The excorcism if Emily-Rose is out, you can only guess the censors have been screwing with the release date I mean it's near Christmas do people really wanto to see a film about the big D at Christmas

I'll have a look at it, a lot of his films have odd endings like eye of the beholder - did she actually die in the end, was she saved - were they in love? I just hate films with open endings

I've still not got round to watching Pillow Book...I've got two Hitchcock films I recorded to watch as well...I've got a bit behind. I did watch a weird film with Jake (out of Donnie Darko and Day After Tomorrow) in it, Bubble Boy. Very bizarre it was.

They do that to set the bar - the wackier a film gets the less chance of typecasting

I watched a bit of fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Depp was quite funny hiding from Del Toro in the hotel room. Tobey Maguire looked very....unlike himself

AApparently the boy almost choked to death cos of the mechanics and the girl didn't much like being blown away - Spielberg had to comfort her...he's seems like such a lovely guy
