Anyone else found the lack of competitions means your not developing your script ideas, I've still got a number of ideas whiring round me head but less seem to make it to page.
Just me?

I definately found that the competitions were a good incentive to actuallty be a bit more pro-active in the script writing department. I only really discovered 4Laughs a few months ago but it really helped to kickstart my enthusiasm again for writing. So at the moment it feels like Christmas Day had arrived then passed, Santa turned up only to say "here's your present" followed by a hefty kick in the nads (inspiring beautiful poetry as well it seems). Actually either 4Laughs helps with my creative process or I need to be told what to do like a performing monkey, either way it gets me thinking/rambling. I get the feeling that the first new competition posted will induce a Gloucester style flood of excitement...but at this rate I'm going to actually have to do some work during office hours which cannot be a good thing.
I must admit, I have missed doing the captions particularly - as they were a great way to fill a half hour or so... And of course the script comps really helped you explore new forms of writing and push yourself more...
But they'll be back, bigger and better - and the fun will begin all over again... I'm guessing September, when the Summer holidays are all done for everyone...
Having just had my latest script returned with nothing written on it, I would love to blame it something so yes the comps made all the differance...... either that or maybe it wasn't good enough. I only found this site a few months ago it's been great to look at talented people in the same place, obviously none on here though (Joking!!!!)
"Apathy" is essentially the person(s) who help with lighting/sound rig and general production equipment etc for people like James Blunt etc...essentially the scaled down/lightweight version of a roadie. I hope this helps Sabriel.
