For example can you mention celebrity names, some great sketches on TV do ?.
Can you be politically incorrect ?. I don't mean rascist but could you for example do a sketch that gained humour from say someone with a lisp or limp ?. Ricky Gervais can be very close to the edge after all. Admittedly he can get away anything now. Just wondered about your views on this ?.
Tricky area this... I think as long as you're staying within the bounds of good taste and not going too over the top with any swearing, you should be okay...
You can mention celebrities, certainly, and poke a little fun here and there... I've even seen some using them as characters in their sketches... But again, it's crucial not to push it too far - if you're making a joke of something that's already well known and within the public domain, that's fine... But to outright defame them, isn't...
I would say whatever you have in mind, try it... And if it gets rejected, you'll know to rein it in for next time... Good luck...
duck the censors, they're all ducking punts...say what you like...if it's funny, it's funny...unless it's got words like nagger, yod, paafter and Colin in it, coz then they WILL take offence and change the letters...WINKERS!
I think the law is that you can write about real people and have them as characters in sketches/plasy etc as long as it is satire. So if you are rude about them there is nothing they can do, but if you are nice about them they can sue you. As George Bush would say .. go figure.
