Once again someone wins without following the rules! It clearly said submit one sentence and the winner had six!
Also, Kid Brother by Bazooka_Joe (like big brother but they don't tell them that none of it has been filmed), actually happened and made the papers about a year ago.
Plus, there were supposed to be 10 winners and it only lists 5!
Its really frustrating to put effort into these things only for the goalposts to be moved after its too late.
Put down your pen and paper, your letters to Points of View can wait...
The clerical arse up that led to the wrong winner being announced is being rectified as we speak. There will be 10 winners, but only 5 will be displayed on the winners page. I'll notify you guys of the other 5 winners in the forum and/or blog.
I'm really excited about this new script contest (expanding a Reality TV pitch). It's a fitting culmination to the 8 week run (so far), as in a way it encompasses all the other themes we've tackled in the previous competitions.
Those who like to be surreal can go surreal with it, those who prefer the slapstick can take it there and so on. Even 'The Chase' and 'The Office' might sneak in there somewhere - and I'm certain it's going to produce some of the best material.
I'm looking forward to reading it as it starts to appear. Good luck everyone.
As you know, one of the entries had to be removed from the winners list as it was longer than one sentence , and one entry was latterly removed after we found out it was very similar to a sketch that was on TV a few years back. Therefore we only had 8 winners.
6th was Millsy 2010. 7th DiamondDave. 8th bigmarkd.
