I read the heading for this a little too quickly and thought it said "dynamic tension" - a lyric from 'I Can Make You A Man' - and I came in expecting to see something to do with 'Rocky Horror'... Oh well...
On the subject of comps, though, or just things to do - a few of us have been trying to set up some activities of our own over on the Chat board... The one that's running right now is quite fun, and hopefully even better ones are coming, to help fill in between other things going on with the site... So if you are looking for an excuse to do some writing (or indeed if anyone else is, too) you'd be very welcome to join in...
The only problem is...they 'extended' the deadline so more people could enter, but it's all a bit Richard & Judy...the winners of the next 4 competitions have already been decided, their careers have been moulded, their comedy films made and they are now living of the spoils in the caribbean.
Richard Curtis is one of them...apparently. He submitted Four Weddings & A Funeral as a sketch originally, but it wasn't allowed up because of the excessive swearing scene...the funding for it was nearly pulled, Sarah Jessica Parker dropped out at the last minute and it was only some wag at Film4 who had jumped ship and joined Working Title that remembered moderating it, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Some say the rest was either Maths or Geography, but I think that's just changing the subject.

Well done by the way!
I enjoyed JimJam's script and thought it a well desreved win, but I'm getting points hungry and was hoping for at least 4th with the customer care sketch - so I've decided in the next competition I'm going to try for twenty scripts, just to see if I can improve my game a little.
Well done to all the winner's though, some good work there.
This is my signature, there are many like it but this one is mine.

If you are a huge RHPS fan, it might interest you to know I have a rare life size cardboard cutout of Tim Curry as Frankenfurter in the front room! Was a huge RHPS fan in my teens.

I'm quite jealous, I must say...
I even love 'Shock Treatment', too (the loose 80s sequel also featuring Brad and Janet)... And yes, I probably need it for admitting that...
But back to the topic in hand here... Yes, loved that 'Four Horseman' script that won it, and I thought the priest running the cornershop from his confessional booth was an inspired idea too...
When I was still a fair bit chubby, I dressed as Magenta in a simple maid cosmute covering everything and wild hair and won a fancy dress comp. Many years later, I was brave enough to go all out as Columbia, top hat and the works and didn't given get third place. Some deck who was dressed as a Jockey won. I was soooo robbed!

Just wanted to say well done to jimjam and his winning sketch. Great sketch. Well done to the others too. I also liked symonpossums cornershop confession box. Might be handy that, run down to the shop for biscuits and have a quick confession while you're there. I havent been for about 6 years.
I thought yielding might have had a chance wit 1 or 2 of his 10. I just read 1 of mine and I didnt think it was 2 bad either
I confess that I too really liked the confession cornershop...groceries, booze and redemption (sounds like a channel 4 documentary!) is a heady mix indeed.
