In case anyone is cursing their luck that it's now the 29th, It seems that the comp have been extended a week. This can only mean one of three things have happened.

1) Technical difficulties

2) All entries before were THAT bad

3) Chris and Ric went on a bender and woke up naked in France with a tramp trying to sell them a flower made out of Maccy D napkins

Anyone wanna place any bets?

If I were a betting man I'd go for all three!

However, the Reality TV Script Comp's really been extended because we launch our fresh and funky script comp next Monday, so we thought in the interim we'd give peeps extra time on the current comp.

Ooh new theme - looking forward to it...

I have a feeling it's building towards the biggie soon: sitcom premises/pilot ideas, with an opening scene or two to accompany them.

Any other speculations?

Talking of extensions... and don't go there MS Glam Snowdrop... mind you on second thoughts...

Anyway as Ronnie Corbett would say...

Isn't the eight weeks or so long up on the original overall competition with the comedy ladder etc.. and shouldn't Yielding have already won??

We'll announce the winners of the eight week script comp as soon as the audio and video comps have been judged.

I noticed all the competitions deadlines have been extended now...

You know you've got to judge them sometime. You can't keep putting it off, reminds me must re-schedule my 11 plus.

I think it's been about 14 or 15 weeks now since the competitions started. And there was a particular '8 week' block which ran with set themes each week that finished just after Christmas.

But it's okay if you've just joined. If you go into 'All Competitions' on the main 4Laughs site there are still a few open there now to enter, and more are on the way. Or you can post things here on the Forum in the 'Test Bed' and the 'Joke' areas.

Many thanks. I see that the caption comp lasts a couple of days, on average, how long does each script theme competition last?

They usually stay open a week or just over, but the current 'Reality TV' comp has been going for three, and was the theme throughout January to tie-in with Celebrity Big Brother.

The new competitions and themes are due on Monday...
