Can anyone help with removing a snail trail from a (brand new) garden umbrella - I assume the umbrella is some sort of treated fabric, and I don't want to make more of a mark than I remove by using the wrong stuff on it.

Snail trails should just wipe off with water.

I think you just have to wait for the snail trail to dry and then you can brush it off. I think water will make it worse.
