Trying to buy a 4 yr old property, which has builders guarantee, paid for basic valuation by mortage company, should I have any others? In a purpose built block, builders insurance included in (very reasonable) ground rent. All help appreciated!

I think if it is 4 years old and still under warranty, it is not worth paying a surveyor to go round and comment on the decoration.

If the sellers questionnaire raises any issues, then it might be worth employing a surveyor.
