I have noticed that the close relationship between countrywide estate agencies and rightmove is coming to an end. Countrywide brands are developing their own web sites rather than pointing straight to rightmove as before. If the agencies also remove the rightmove url from their for sale boards, the competitive advantage enjoyed by rightmove will vanish. Does anyone else have any more info on this?

Don't countrywide own a share of Rightmove? For the record, Rightmove are hugely over priced.
City experts don't rate Rightmove as a long term bet. Nor would I. What do they have to offer for your money? A Dot-Com business built on sand and liable to collapse at any time in the future.
The uptake of independent agents to the new portal look4aproperty is expanding fast, with agents desperate for a viable alternative to rightmove. At present most of these agents are also sticking with rightmove, but the moment look4aproperty proves viable they’ll jump ship from rightmove like lemmings.
If anyone on here is holding these shares...bale out NOW! Watch out for the Directors off-loading.... this will drive the share price even further downwards. I believe Director's can't sell for a period (3 Months?)after flotation under Stock Market rules.
Rightmove is not popular with the independents because of their relationship with Countrywide and other large corporates. As soon as the other site gains a following with good number of hits they will be off. Also Countrywide's and Rightmove's support for the Home Information Pack makes them unpopular with independents suspicious of their motives.
