Just wondering if anyone else saw this last night? It was the first of a new series, C5 9pm Fridays.

I know these two are an acquired taste but I have grown to love them. I also like the fact that their jobs always resemble my own projects - wrong stuff delivered, things not available, deadlines missed.

This series is a celeb version - last night, Sam Fox (okay we're using the word celebrity loosely Smile) and future programmes involve Tony Blackburn and Christine Hamilton.

Tony Blackburn & Christine Hamilton?
Looks like we're moving down the celebrity food chain then!

I think Colin and Justin are very mediocre and boring 'designers'. Never thought I'd say it but I prefered SOME aspects of Sam Fox's house before this pair of clowns started work! Also, I may have a suspicious mind, but does anyone else think that all the delivery cock-ups etc. could have been a bit of sabotage from the female buyer/decorator who obviously walked out/was pushed from the show....!!??

I'd have walked too. How dare he talk to her like that?

I wasn't quite sure what happened there, they SAID she was going to another job, but both the Katies have been on their previous progs and have been similarly abused, so it wasn't like they weren't expecting it (not that I'm saying it's right).

I thought that too velvet - I was surprised to see Katie 1 there at all after the way they treated her in one episode in the last series (can't remember now what that row was about - was that one floor tiles too??)
BUT my ears pricked up when Katie 2 wailed "I'm not supposed to be here!" which made me think the staff changeover hadn't been wholly planned...

I'm not sure I'll bother to watch next week. Thinking about it, it was pretty boring really wasn't it?

A white room - wow no-one's ever done that before! A moroccan themed dining conservatory - push the envelope why don't you Roll Eyes. And the kitchen...well all that red and black made me think 1980s...was it meant to be retro??

Even the histrionics are rather old hat now.

Sorry but I missed this house program, but I did watch Colin and Justin in a program recently, with Caprice when they had to look after a pretend mechanical baby for a week, and Caprice dropped it on the floor after it fell off the bed and she also broke one of its fingers, a good job it was not a real baby. Colin and Justin seemed to make ideal parents, they cried when it was given back, did anyone see it? Sorry I deviated there....

It might awful to say it, but I preferred the red tiles with some variation in them! Stopped the room looking clinical!.

I liked the kitchen, but I think I'd get bored of it after a while.

Queenshaks, yes they've been together for about 20-odd years (they were on the Jonathan Ross radio show on Saturday, they are very amusing if you like that sort of thing Smile). JR was very impressed by this - "that's a long time - and gay years are like dog years aren't they" Big Grin

I think the entire appeal of the C5 programme revolves around whether you like them/find them amusing or not. I never used to, but I love them on these programmes - they are allowed to camp it up rather than doing more serious stuff as in the £m property thing on the bbc. For me the design element is incidental.

It's a strange thing, but I used to hate Justin (the blonde) and think that Colin was OK and the voice of reason, but I've changed my opinion completely and now quite like Justin and find Colin totally up his own ar$e.

The programme would be good without Colin and Justin in it quite simply.

The way they talk to Katie and the builders is well out of order. Colin is up his own arse and Justin is quite frankly an arrogant **** with a stinking big attitude problem.

I live in hope of the day when one of the builders t**** them and brings them down a good few notches.

Cheers.

Rex is possibly a better name for him, but it's actually Max Smile

I doubt it was a million. I read it was £225K.

Who have they sued and lost to, apart from Fayed? I think I'd rather they gave a charitable donation than sent it his way, but I doubt they will do either.

There was a piece in the paper on Friday about the Neil & Christine Hamilton one. They weren't v.happy with what the terrible twosome had done - painted walls black etc. They referred to them as Colin & Justine though - not sure whether it was a typo or not !!

I have been watching J&C for years now and think they are getting better and better. Their programmes are fun to watch and I love all the aggro when they go off on a tantrum. THe trransformation to the house on Friday was amazing and the homeowners seemed delighted.

I think this is a fabulous show. Yes the guys have a bit of an attitude but the rest of the team do go out of their way to wind them up. It makes for great viewing. can't wait for the Hamilton show. Heard the guys talkin about it on Des and Mel - should be good!
