Ooh I hadn't even noticed Smile.

I think I should thank all the friends, adversaries, cats, balconies and FTBs who have made this possible, not forgetting PL, Lx3, GD and Jellye Big Grin

Hi

i personally think the programme does exactly what it says on the tin i.e "How Not To Decorate" Big Grin

Katie was lovely and not treated very well at all. And how can they have a pop at the builder over his plan of works and schedule when they have half the designs in their heads. And the pair of them always seem to have to be somewhere else.

As they have the ultimate vision of how a design should look why are they not doing the job properly and sourcing the materials themselves. i see them as a pair of ammateurs playing at something for its entertainment value and no more. on the shows i have watched they've made such a mess of the job they even threaten to walk away. how professional is that Confused

Horrendously decorated, have to say C&J did a very good job of improving it.

Having seen them interacting with Katy over the series, it seems like she knows them extremely well and all the stropping is for the cameras. She wouldn't continue working with them if she didn't get on with them. I suspect they have a lot of fun (no not that kind Smile) when the cameras aren't on.

Velvet answered this perfectly reasonable question of queenshaks' nearly two weeks ago. Why wait till now with this post and why the unpleasant sarcasm? Confused

Well now you've really lost me, paintjunkie. I was referring to the sarcastic tone with which you suggested that queenshaks' question was a stupid one. I'm not sure where gay rights comes into simply wondering whether or not two people who have a close screen relationship are actually an item off screen. Is it relevant? Did anyone mention it?

If you didn't mean to be sarcastic then OK but telling someone that the answer to their question is obvious and asking where they've been for the last few years sounds remarkably like it to me Smile.

Awww, bless! Fair enough Big Grin.
But paintjunkie, you are in danger of becoming a one-topic poster - come and join in one of our lively debates on inheritance tax and wheelie bins. Most stimulating Wink Smile.

PJ - don't let little things like having no experience of a topic stop you posting on it. It never stops anyone else Big Grin.

Expensive, but quite cool – these tileVision ones are waterproof, can be tiled into a wall, have a remote 12V power supply, and can be safely installed in a bathroom. And they have a waterproof remote control - presumably it also floats Smile.

Porta seem to be an odd company to sell home design products, they sell bar accessories, air conditioning plant, and distribute TileVision bathroom TVs – presumably because they might want to put them behind the bar in a bar. Run 'TileVision' through kelkoo.co.uk to find other distributers and prices. Also look at waterprooftv.co.uk for Aquavision, TileVision, VideoTree, IceBox (flip-down internet kitchen TV), d2View, and other innovations such as a towel rail TV.

paintjunkie – you started a new thread on this so why reply to the old one Confused? I think you may need to lay off the paint thinners and save your remaining brain cells from extinction Smile.

No problem paintjunkie Smile. Must admit, I thought J&C might have looked at the TowelRail TV, arguably better than a cricked neck!

Yes, you are right. A real problem, I mean, you have to choose – is it a warm bath towel, or watch TV and have a cold towel? Sometimes life is far too complicated Big Grin.

Your dream of reaching a hundred postings will soon be a reality Paint Junkie as you stated earlier. However, as this not a Chat Room for General Chit-Chat Junkies anything to add about Homes, Property or Related subjects of any interest to us all? Anything will do, except Cats and their Abulution problems.

Hi Melboy - Im frustrated! Tried to continue chat with Phugoid and Ive been abandoned. Maybe i should take a less in your face approach. Either he's married or just doesnt like me1 Either is a horrible thought. I DO love home interest and thats why im here but I was falling in love over the web!! I should have known it was unrequited. PJ x

Heaven Forbid that I should come between two people having a Cybernet Love Affair on the Homes Forum. However, may I respectful suggest that you just swop email addresses or telephone numbers for those intimate moments you wish to enjoy so as the rest of us don't have to join in on the Forum.
Mel.

Sorry Paintjunkie, I didn’t mean to abandon you like that – just had to catch up with work, but I guess I really should not have waited so long to reply and, looking back, it does seem a bit mean. I do find that these boards quite addictive, it’s very easy to get drawn in and loose a sense of real life perspective, and it takes quite a long time to form any sense of what people are really like. I guess I can safely admit to being mid-40s, male, and (probably not a surprise) slightly geeky/nerdy. And to keep on topic – on the J&C question: irritating *and* very funny, so I do end up watching Smile.

I love this pair too and have been watching them for years now. The show on Friday was fantastic - I love the way they lose the place with the Katies. I would too, they don't seem to listen to what the guys tell them. I've heard that the Hamilton's show is a corker. Is that on this week?

Just wondering if anyone else saw this last night? It was the first of a new series, C5 9pm Fridays.

I know these two are an acquired taste but I have grown to love them. I also like the fact that their jobs always resemble my own projects - wrong stuff delivered, things not available, deadlines missed.

This series is a celeb version - last night, Sam Fox (okay we're using the word celebrity loosely Smile) and future programmes involve Tony Blackburn and Christine Hamilton.

Me too !! They're just the best. HNTD is the highlight of the weekend. What's with the titchy ties that Justin has taken to wearing every week. I think they're cute but my DH refuses to give it a go.
