Well done that client!! That sink was totally god awful!! When they did their 'big reveal' and lifted off the box, I was expecting one of those lovely glass bols with designer taps - not that orange pine rubbish!!

.....errr, Sorry ........ but do you REALLY think that living room was "lovely" I'm sorry, but I've seen better "transformations" on Changing Rooms at a cost of £500 .. in fact, that's what it reminded me of!!!!!

I only saw the last ten minutes with the before and after shots. I thought it all looked rather bleak, especially the sitting room.
And then there was the pink tie . . . at least I presume that's what it was??

I didn't like the sitting room, but the bedroom and the kitchen/diner was great.
But J&C were designing for the clients, who had very odd taste - you didn't see the 'before shots' I take it avis, it was monstrous!

There is no way that the original 'revealed' sink would have gone with the decor in that bedroom. It just screams staged set-up to me. Just like all the tantrums with the Katies. It's not a design programme anymore, it's staged for entertainment.

What did everyone think of Friday's show at the house in Edinburgh? I loved what they did to the kitchen. I'm surprised that somebody who's life is in catering had such a pokey kitchen in the first place. The bedroom was nice too but I din't like the wallpaper - it was a bit oppressive.

I enjoyed the show a lot.I liked the wallpaper -it was really striking. Not sure about about the cream sofas in a house full of children though. The trailer at the end for next week'sshow lookled familiar - is it a repeat? What has happened to the show with the Hamilton's? I've also heard C&J mention doing Tony Blackburn's home - have I missed that one?

I heard the Hamilton show was pulled because they were rude about it in the tabloids (Christine and Neil were rude that is). But yes they definitely mentioned Tony Blackburn - maybe they are saving him for the final one?

Some spectatcular lapses of taste for the guys on Friday night. That sink was AWFUL as was the wallpaper. Other than that it was fun to watch as usual.

I'm guessing Tony Blackburn's decor might be stuck in an 80s timewarp

That might be an early 1970s fabtastic or, mellowing with age a bit, possibly more radio3mungus . But I guess we are talking the sort of wall-to-wall record racks that would get Anne Maurice all worked up. This week it’s a psychedelic house in Eastbourne ... but the builders throw a wobbly and storm out – on at 9:00pm today.

Yes, they really ought to vary the formula – maybe the scriptwriters, or even the film crew, could storm out – we could have a nice shaky cam segment in the middle when one of the Katies takes over .

I think it is actually a repeat!! When they previewed it at the end of last week's show, the cartoon mural on the stairs looked very familiar.

They could take some lessons from Nigel and his place in France . But fortunately C&J amuse me rather more than numpty Nigel. No fabtastic interiors from Tone tonight then?

Michael Jackson's defence team should get hold of tonight's edition. You see, it's NORMAL for adults to have a home full of cartoons and toys!!!!

I'm sure this is a repeat

I haven't seen it before Piggles. I looooove the bright colours!

MrP and I have definitely seen that before. I remember how the red floor looked all patchy; the strop with the door, and the no show turqoise sofa. Doesn't say in the RT that it's a repeat though.

A sort of Mondrian meets Warhol living room with funky cool contemporary furniture – actually looked quite good . What struck me, and does seem a bit scary, is that the owners appeared to have been positively transformed as people by the new décor. And it’s easy to forget how good just painting everything white can look.

The programme is well named. How not to decorate. I'm sorry, but if those 2 fairies ( as they were aptly called on the programme ) treat tradesmen with such arrogance, AND never listen to anyone, I'm surprised they can get anyone to work for them. If they think they're so good, why can't they do the work themselves ? I remember seeing this episode before, and being just as annoyed then. In it's defence, the couple did seem to like the result, and were grateful to J & C, but actually a lot of the result was down to the poor girl who had to make all the decisions because the "boys" were away with the fairies and wouldn't answer the phone . She may have been thanked by the couple off-screen, so I can only presume it was too much for the inflated egos to bear , to actually include that on screen. Sorry boys, but that's the last time I'm watching.

Glad to hear it was a repeat, as I unaccountably forgot to watch it last night.
Mr P, I used to find them uniquely irritating too but I have come to the conclusion all the amateur dramatics are strictly for the cameras, I don't believe they behave like that in real life. Now that I think of it in that way I love watching them.
Maybe it was a repeat because it was replacing the Hamilton programme?

I watched this programme last night! I'd never seen it before (I can't really bear to watch J&C) but I enjoyed the programme. I especially enjoyed watching that Building Manager think his name was Andy? But that was purely for aesthetic reasons only Are J&C always that irritating/bitchy/rude/offensive/horrid on this show? I didn't really rate their design skills on the house either, but the couple whose house it was seemed made up with it - which I guess is the point of the show.
