I loved the bit last night where Justin said that he didn't like to be overdramatic!! Who is he kidding - he thrives on it. I thought the show was great. I can see why they get irritated with Katie - she ought to communicate better with them.

Paintjunkie - box room - white ceiling and cream walls - not much of a design statement but you said you want to make it look bigger. There is a wide variety of 'creams' to choose from (or magnolias, I think Mel claims 40 different shades but he's the expert on that one Smile). Depending on the dimensions you could bring the white down to picture rail level to make the room less 'boxy'.

Hard flooring rather than carpet would help too - it doesn't absorb the light in the same way that soft carpeting does (whatever the colour).

Disappointed that Friday's show was a repeat but enjoyed it anyway. I love the shows where they lose their temper. Great viewing. Did anybody else catch the boys on Eurovision last night? Loved the kilts!

Funny you say that velvet! I have just broken with tradition and painted a room out only this week (under the watchful eye of Mrs. Melboy) in Dulux Barly nothing strange about that I hear you say BUT I was painting over Magnolia and do you know what-- It was an identical shade of colour!! Big Grin
Mel.

Spooky, Mel. What are you saying, all shades lead to magnolia?!

I had a laugh about this bit too. I remember this show from the first series as it's the one where Justin loses his temper the most times. I thought the hall was fantastic and the stained glass panel in the front door was beautiful. Would have been better with two, though.

I saw C&J on Dick and Dom too ! Not that I normally watch Dick and Dom, you understand, but as I was chanelling hopping to find something to keep me occupied as I made the dinner, I chanced upon them. Wasn't it fun? What a mess but all in a good cause.

PJ - You'll generally find that if people know the answer, then they will be more than happy to help. It might also help if you create a new topic for your question - some people who may be able to offer advice on greenhouse/lean to's might not read this thread.

Don't take it as personal insult if your question is responded to - it probably just means that it's a topic that the forum members don't hold wisdom on.

Happy posting,
Bec

Well now that I have read the request about lean to greenhouses/conservatories! Big Grin

Some Local Authorities do need planning --some don't. A quick phone call to your local planning department is the answer. All Conservatories are regarded as temporary buildings in the big picture of House building.

Hello Paintjunkie! Smile If you want a piccie like Melboy's, then click on "GO", click on "PROFILE", click on "EDIT PROFILE" (top right-ish of screen), scroll down to "AVATAR", click "EDIT" and choose! Big Grin Enjoy!

Is this show on tonight?

Does that project Manager, Andy (think that's his name), appear in the show every week too? Razz

C&J not on tonight. Has the series finished, or did Five just not want to put them on against Red Nose night?

Hi PJ, the easiest and safest thing to do is to ring your local council and just ask them to put you through to planning and then take it from there.

Much easier in practise than typing about it!

Relieved to see that Fiday's will be back to normal with Colin and Justin rampaging round Tony Blackurn's house. I've got a picture in my mind of what TB's house will be like: lots of animal prints and wood pannelling. Can't wait to see what they make of TB.

Do you think the show where they do the Hamiltons will be on next week then? It's been trailed so much in interviews that I can't wait to see it.
