HI gang was reading your thoughts on these clocks but the thread is now archived and I cant post on it, hence this new thread.
So how many of you got these clocks after all the problems getting hold of them and what are the new owners honest opinion on them, was thinking of getting one but dont want to fork out on one unless the feedback is good.
Thanks Psycho

I rate ours quite highly. Mrs Gee isn't so keen on the way it looks, but I feel 'ready' to wake up by the time it's on full light. I also feel considerably less grumpy in the mornings. Still have to have the beeps on though, because I'd still fall back asleep given half the chance.
The gradual dimming at night time helps me sleep too.
I'd say they're expensive for what they are, but it's been worth it to me.
As I posted on the archived thread (I think) - it worked for me to start with but now I've got used to it I just sleep through it. I'm beginning to think I am a hopeless case . Mr Q finds it works for him though but he has always been a lighter sleeper.
I agree with Mrs Gee that the looks aren't great - very cheap and plasticky looking - certainly doesn't look like it cost £60!
The lack of conventional alarm features (ie a snooze button!) have got me in trouble on a couple of occasions, too.
We have had a lumie for two winter seasons now and we still think its great!
Its much more refreshing to be woken up on a cold wintery morning with light rather than a LOUD alarm clock jangling the nerves first thing in the morning. I must admit I find it a nice sensation being woken up by light!
We got our lumie last autumn, as my partner finds getting up before 6am very difficult on dark mornings. I have used it once or twice myself and found the light alone did wake me up - and my partner doesn't even bother to set the beeps, finding that, as Gee says, the light alone wakes you up gradually - and less grumpily. So another vote 'for', definitely worth the rather extortionate price.
