Did anyone watch this? If so did you have doubts about the couples abilities to acheive what they claimed to want?

I cant understand how they could possibly have afforded their plans long term. I know the guy made some money i nthe past doing renovations, but neither of them seemed to be working...

Thought he seemed a bit selfish... should have put his wife and kids first rather than pursuing his "hobby" of doing up houses.

No I don't know when it is repeated but sorry about my heading. Of course, today is the 31st and the show was on last night. Blush

The whole thing didn't ring true to me though.

This series reminds me of much of "The People's" television shown over the past few years and still being shown.

Some few series ago I suspected that a lot of the so called potential buyers in the holiday homes type series were simply picked up on the beach at whatever resort the TV company happened to be filming. These potential buyers simply played along, having a very nice day out (and good luck to them) being chauffeur driven around the area.

In this case I suspect some of the potential buyers simply just "Wanna be on the telleeee" with no real interest, or even the wherewithal, in purchasing a property - or whatever the programme subject is.

" 5 years in the planning for this move" was the opening statement by P&k.

He/she couldn't speak any French.

They had not even visited the places they wished to locate to!

He had no job (for mortgage money)

She was pregnant (not a good idea if your making a life changing move)

They were indecisive on all aspects of whatever property they viewed.

They ended up in Oxford due to employment prospects. Confused

Need I say more?
Mel.

What a waste of time and effort. Disappointed I think its time to ditch the format as very few participants seem to end up buying 2 properties. Shake Head

I am tired, I am weary. I could sleep for a thousand years.

Lost interest 15 minutes from the end. Kirsty playing Violet Elizabeth to Phil's Just William, a now you see it - no you don't pregnancy edit to compete with Sarah Beeny (plays havoc with continuity), 'homefinders' who can't come up with anything better than a half hour trawl on the internet...and then there's the punters!

A tired format. Put it out of its misery.

Totally agree .
A programme about what different parts of the country have to offer regarding quality of life etc would be more interesting. Our local forum is always being asked what our area is like (from the locals point of view that is)
The daytime programmes are more informative, like H under H and Buy or not Buy IMO.

I 'm not that keen on looking at two pregnant women whose pasty faces and dark shadows under their eyes gave the impression they should have been putting their feet up not traipsing round house hunting. Roll Eyes
Mind you the sycophantic relationship between Phil & Kirsty was making me feel a bit nauseous at the time!

As Melboy said, they had no ties to Felixstowe other than they 'fancied living there' and had never been to the area of France they wanted to buy in - just another couple who wanted to be on the telly?
