Has anyone had any experiance of sanding a wooden floor? I'm in need of some advice.
Looking round there are a few methods to cover the floor boards once sanded e.g. Dyes, paint then wax etc but which one can be recommended as they all are alittle toppy in price and I just want to get it right first time (that would be first in itself )

Get some quotes for getting someone else to do it. It is an awful job. I did a room and it cost me the same in varnish, sander hire and sanding belts as it did to pay someone to do it for me. It also spoilt a bank holiday.
