Hi, if someone could point me in the right direction to finding out what I have to do once I take my ex off the mort (he has agreed to this). I have sorted it out with the Mort company but not sure what I do about stamp duty or registering it... Any help would be appreciated.
I have just been taken of the mortgage and deeds with my ex. You need to do a transfer of equity with your mortgage lender and a change of Deeds with the land registry. We did all ours through our solicitor, althought me and my ex are friends now, things got heated as he was deliberately taking his time so having a Solicitor was the best thing for us.
