We have a 4 yr old boiler (the house is of the same age) it's a Ideal classic boiler, and we are currently paying £180/yr for a British Gas contract. Trouble is, we're starting to think it's expensive and we've heard that they don't even 'service' it but just 'safety check' it. Is this true ?
However, we're aware of the fact that should anyhting go wrong in the winter, it could be hell to find a plumber and v. v. dear (we've gone through that before elsewhere). So, basically, we're looking for the same sort of BG contract but much cheaper (Direct Line's is the same price), any opinions on the matter and suggestions ?
